ALL members of the Beck Hall Lawn Tennis Association who wish to subscribe for '94-'95 will kindly do so at once as there are only a few vacancies left.

R. BROOKS, 21 Beck Hall.THERE will be a meeting of the chess and Whist Club tonight in the D. U. Hall, over Brewer's provision store, at 8 o'clock sharp. Every member, whether he has paid his dues or not, is urged to be present, as there is important business to transact. Any member of the University who wishes to become a member will have his name promptly acted upon by handing it to the secretary.

61 Hastings Hall.HARVARD MANDOLIN CLUB. - There will be a trial for candidates at 7.30 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, at 1 Weld. All students who can play either the mandolin or guitar are urged to try.

11 4tALL members of the University wishing to join the Harvard Athletic Association may do so at Thurston's or at 40 Hilton's Block on Mondays and Fridays from 1.30 to 2 o'clock. Initiation fee $3.50.

H. W. HOWE, Sec. H. A. A.There will be a very important meeting of the Chess and Whist Club, Tuesday evening, Oct. 9, 1894, at 7.30 in D. U. Hall, corner of Brattle and Palmer Sts. Every member should be present as the question of reorganization of the club on a firmer basis must be acted upon.

++PIERIAN TRIALS. - There will be a trial of candidates for the Pierian Sodality on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, October 9 and 10, at 7.30 o'clock in Roberts Hall. Every man who can play any orchestral instrument is urged to be present with a solo. New members of the University in particular should come out.
