J. B. Read and J. H. Chase won from G. L. Wrenn and A. S. Pier Saturday afternoon in the final match of the doubles. The score was 4-6, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-0.
Wrenn and pier won two of the first three sets by superior back court playing. In the fourth Chase and Read improved noticeably and tied the score by sharp and accurate playing.
In the final set Wrenn and Pier seemed tired and won only tow games.
Chase played the steadiest game of the four. His lobbing and net play were especially good.
