Tennis Tournament.

The following matches in singles were played yesterday:

Ingraham beat Thomas 6-2, 7-5; Wrenn beat Booth 6-2, 6-1; Pier beat Cutting 6-2, 7-5; Foster beat Sharples 6-3, 6-2.

In doubles Thomas and Booth beat Codman and Winslow in a very close and exciting match by the score of 6-4, 4-6, 11-9.

The third round in the singles will be played today at the following hours:

H. A. L. Sand vs. A. Ingraham, at 10; A. S. Pier vs. winner Carleton-Leonard, at 11; Read vs. Foster, at 3.30; Chase vs. Wrenn, at 1.30; winner Chase-Wrenn vs. winner Ingraham-Sand, at 3.30.

The following double matches will be played:

Williams and Huidekoper vs. Sterling and Frothingham, at 2.30; Warren and Gannett vs. Sand and Loines, at 10.

The result of drawings for consolation prize in singles is as follows:

Men must arrange hours of matches among themselves. The drawings will be posted on the door of the Cary Building today.
