The new chemical laboratory which is being built at the University of Pennsylvania is very near completion. It will have two wings of two stories each and a central building of three stories. In equipment it will be one of the most complete buildings of its kind among the colleges.
There will be several laboratories for the analysis of steel and iron, assaying, qualitative work, and the like. A large room with a seating capacity of 220 will be used as a lecture room, and there will also be a museum, a library, and a reading room. Private offices will also be fitted for the instructors, with laboratories attached.
