ENGLISH 9.- The examination will be on Friday, February 2. For History 9 in the provisional list of examinations, read English 9.

LEWIS E. GATES.FRENCH A.- Hereafter the extra meetings for practice in pronumciation will be held in Sever A; Thursday from 11-1; Saturday from 9-11.

TH. HENCKELS.Mr. Copeland requests a complete attendance this week of the classes in reading and speaking.

The following books, mentioned in the Monday evening lectures, have been reserved in the English Alcove at the Library: "Don Quixote" (in a French and an English translation), Lowell's Letters, Mr. Kipling's "Many Inventions," "David Balfour," and "Essays in London," by Mr. Henry James.

"Lavengro," "The New Arabian Nights," "Across the Plains," and "When a Man's Single,"- which bear upon the lecture of this week-will be reserved within a few days.
