Rowing Club News.

The Rowing Club races which were held on Saturday proved to be very exciting and closely contested. There were three entries for the singles and Youngman '95 won in 10 minutes and 10 seconds Taylor finished second having made a beautiful spurt towards the end; Hughes was third.

The second race was for doubles and the course was one mile. Stetson and Niles led almost to the finish but swerved from the course and Hughes and Taylor overtook and passed them, winning by five feet. Wells and Youngman finished third. Professor Trowbridge was judge at the finish, and J. W. Lund L. S. was referee.

The annual meeting of the Club will be held at the boat house this afternoon at 3. p. m. The officers are to be chosen for the coming year and an amendment to the constitution, changing the name of the club to the Weld Boat Club, is to be voted on.

The canoe race will be started at 3.30. The course will be about three quarters of a mile, starting opposite the boat house rounding a stake boat and finishing at the starting point. Entries will be received up to 3.15. The race will be in the club canoes, two men in each Cups will be given to the winners.
