WE cannot let the year close without earnestly appealing to the Corporation, or to those who would have the matter in charge, to remedy the unsatisfactory accommodations in the gymnasium for bathing. This is an old plea which has long been put to the college authorities without receiving any attention from them. The writer of the communication this morning has treated the question in a way which ought to have some influence, coming as it does on the top of so many complaints.

Any one who will carefully look into the matter must be convinced of this. Each year the discomfort and dissatisfaction increase. Next fall the college will open with a larger number of students than ever before and the question is, are things to remain as they are now? No better time for alterations could be had than during the summer months, when by a moderate expenditure the Corporation could relieve the University of a condition of things which reflects no credit upon it. It seems a pity to let the opportunity pass since the delay only postpones what must inevitably be done within a very short time.
