To the Editors of the Crimson:

It is necessary once again to call attentention to a wrong which, even if nothing had been said on the subject, any manliness or sense of dignity would have prevented. I refer to the attempts made by men, not always freshmen I am sorry to say, to get John the Orangeman drunk.

This practice has been unusally prevalent this year. A few days ago John was practically forced to drink until intoxicated. It caused him much inconvenience, expense and unhappiness.

Liquor is John's enemy. He wants to let it alone, and it is unpardonable for a person to offer him the chance to drink, to say nothing of urging it upon him. Shame on the student who would countenance such an act.

We, here, are attached to John and any such injury done to him is thoroughly resented.
