The regatta arranged by the Harvard Rowing Club for the third of June is likely to prove an important step in the history of rowing at Harvard. The Weld boat house has been a source of genuine pleasure to all who have availed themselves of its advantages. It has not, however, as yet been an important factol in developing oarsmen for the 'varsity crew. This it certainly ought to do and an arrangement such as described elsewhere cannot fail to be productive of excellent results. To understand better the object of this regatta, a meeting of all members of the university will be held to-night at the boat house. The plans will then be fully discussed. It is important that all who can should be present, for to make the plan a success, there should be a wide spread interest and hearty cooperation from everyone.
