The Yale men made a desperate and plucky fight for which they deserve much praise. The score does not indicate the closeness of the contest. Up to the last event but one, the outcome was in doubt, and we all were kept in a state of almost painful suspense. The Yale runners showed grit and perseverance and in spite of their defeat, did credit to themselves and to their university.
