At Syracuse University the faculty have appointed a committee from their own body to secure subscriptions for the base-ball nine and to "co-operate with the students in their efforts to support a creditable base-ball club."
At the annual meeting of the Intercollegiate Football Association on Saturday, the following two amendments to the playing rules were made; (1) the ball shall be taken out into field for the try at goal after a touchdown from the place where it was actually touched down, instead of from the place where the runner crosses the goal line; (2) no one shall interfere with the snapper back by touching the ball until it is actually in play. Penalty in case of infringement, five yards.
