Harvard beat Thomson-Houston on Holmes Field yesterday in a game which the chilly weather and one-sided score made very uninteresting. J. Highlands pitched for four innings, and while striking out seven of the visitors, allowed them neither a safe hit nor a run. A. Highlands took his brother's place in the last three innings, and was hit safely but three times. Behind the bat however Corbett dropped eight out of twelve third strikes, and once missed his man at first.

The change in Harvard's infield proved satisfactory. Trafford has not forgotten during his absence how to play first base, and while Hovey and Sullivan each had an error their general work was good. Frothingham made two assists from his old position in right field, one of which following the catch of a hot liner, completed a pretty double play.

Wheeler's wildness, two errors by J. Bannan, and a sacrifice by Abbott gave Harvard three unearned runs in the first inning. In the second, Trafford was hit by a pitched ball, took second on an error and scored on Highlands single. Abbott added one in the third, getting a base on balls and scoring on Sullivan's single and Trafford's sacrifice.

In the first four innings the visitors got but two men on bases, one of whom was doubled by Frothingham at second. For Harvard's fourth, Highlands led off with a hit, Hallowell took his base on balls, and Cook made a single. Hovey's base on balls forced in Highlands, then Abbott cleared the bases with a home run. Three more were added in the fifth by Hallo-well's base on balls, Cook's two bagger and an error by Bannon.

With A. Highlands in the box, the Thomson-Houstons made one run in each of the last three innings. A double play prevented Harvard from scoring in the sixth, but in the seventh Hovey and Abbott made unearned runs. The score:
