Arrangements for the Harvard-Yale debate were not brought to a conclusion suitable for publication, until vacation. The evening of May 2 has been definitely settled upon. The debate will take place at the Hyperion Theatre at New Haven. Hon. Chauncey M. Depew has kindly consented to preside. Contrary to several newspaper reports Harvard has the negative of the question worded as follows: "Resolved, that the time has now come when the policy of Protection should be abandoned by the United States."
As is already known the Yale Union selected two of the three Yale speakers at its debate last Friday evening. They are L. P. Gillespie '94 and H. E. Buttrick '95. The third representative will be chosen by the Kent Club of the Yale Law School.
On the Harvard side H. C. Lakin '94 of Worcester, Massachusetts will be the first speaker and will be followed by F. C. Mc Laughlin '93 of Somerville, Massachusetts. F. W. Dallinger '93 of Cambridge will close the debate.
