A larger number of men are training for the Exeter nine this year than last, and the material is rather better. The captain of the team, Seymour, '93, is the only man back in the school from last year's team with the exception of Holmes, who was substitute fielder. The work thus far has been hard and faithful, and there are good prospects for a strong team. The practice consists of the regular work in the cage, batting, picking up grounders, sliding, etc. The candidates are as follows: Johnson, Powers, Richards, Holmes, Scannell, Hale, McCall, Banner, Quinby, Campbell, McGrath, Connor, Armstrong, Haskell, Dougan, Phair, Longfellow, Green, Faxon.
