The Alumni of Northern Pennsylvania of the universities of Yale, Princeton, Wesleyan and Lafayette held a banquet at Wilkes Barre, Pa., last Tuesday.
Prof. F. G. Peabody will lecture at the Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences next Saturday evening on "The Correlation of the Social Questions."
The faculty of the conservatory of music at Oberlin are to give a concert, the proceeds of which will go as a fund for the football team of next season.

On Friday the representatives of the college papers at U. of P. met and decided to form a Press Club. the aims of the organization being very similar to those of the recently formed Press Club at Cornell.
Of Yale's athletic teams twelve men are training for the sprints, forty for the middle distances, seven for the mile walk. six for the hammer and the shot, ten for the hurdles and jumps, and four each for the pole vault and the bicycle race.
