Two sets of officers for the athletic departments have been chosen by the students of the University of the city of New York. This action was caused by jealousy on the part of the different Greek letter societies in the college.
The M. I. T. glee club will give a concert to-night in Melrose.
The students of Boston University will hold a banquet on Feb. 21.
The candidates for the Tufts College base-ball nine will begin training this week in the gymnasium,
Mr. Caspar W. Whitney is now absent on an extended tour through the United States and Canada. In the course of his trip he will visit all the important sporting centres and make a thorough examination of the present condition of amateur sport in America. During his absence his department will be supplied with articles by prominent authorities on special topics connected with Amateur Sport.
