Although the mid-year examinations have somewhat interrupted the training for the various athletic teams, the 'varsity crew has been hard at work in the Carey building and show much improvement over the work a few weeks ago, the general form being well advanced for this time in the year. There are now sixteen candidates for positions, not including two or three men who have not yet begun training. Cummings has not been rowing regularly being in the boat only about three times in the week.

The present exercise each day consists in a run of about two or three miles, dumb-bell exercises and work in the boats of about forty-five minutes in length. On Monday strict training will begin and be kept up throughout the year.
