New Harvard Union.

At the competitive debate of the New Harvard Union last night, the question, "Resolved, that United States Senators should be elected by a direct vote of the people," was opened by E. H. Warren '95 in the affirmative and by A. W. White, Sp., in the negative.

The debate was then thrown open to applicants for admission and twenty-one men spoke. Ten of these men were chosen by the judges, Messrs Conant and Copeland. At a meeting of the Union to be held in 23 Holworthy on Monday at 4.30 p. m. a number these of men will be elected to membership.
