Following is a brief description of Yale's eleven:

F. A. Hinkey '95 (captain) of Tonawanda, N. Y., left end. Played left end on the Andover eleven. Has played left end on the Yale eleven for three years. At Andover he played right field on the nine one year. Played left field on his freshman nine. Age 22, height 5 ft. 9 in., weight 157.

J. C. Greenway '95 Sheff., of Hot Springs, Ark., right end. Played end one year at Andover, and "aught on the nine one year. Played right end on the Yale 'varsity last year, and was substitute on the nine. Age 21, height 6 ft. 1 in., weight 164.

A. M. Beard '95, of Poughkeepsie, N. Y., tackle and centre. Prepared at Riverview Military Academy. This is his first year on the 'varsity eleven. Age 19, height 6 ft. 1 1-2 in., weight 189.

F. T. Murphy '97, of Junction City, Kans., right tackle. Played tackle on the Andover eleven last year. His best work is in baseball. Has played steadily on the Andover nine; last year was catcher and captain. Age 22, height 5 ft. 11 1-2 in., weight 178.

E. L. Messler '94 Sheff., of Pittsburg, Pa., substitute tackle. Played one year at the Shadyside Academy, Pittsburg. Played right tackle on his freshman eleven. Has not before been on the 'varsity. Rowed No. 2 in his freshman boat, and No. 2 in the 'varsity boat last year. Age 19, height 5 ft. 9 1-2 in., weight 176.

J. A. McCrea '95 Sheff., of Pittsburg, Pa., left guard. Played guard two years and rowed one year at St. Paul's School. Played left guard last year on the 'varsity and centre on the freshman eleven. Age 19, height 6 ft. 3 in., weight 204.

W. O. Hickock '95 Sheff., of Harrisburg, Pa., right guard. Rowed on the Halcyon crew, played guard four years at St. Paul's School. Member of Yale Mott Haven Team for hammer and shot. Holds intercollegiate record for hammer throwing, 110 ft. 4 1-2 in. Played right guard last year on the 'varsity and freshman elevens. Age 19, height 6 ft. 2 in., weight 195.

P. T. Stillman '95 Sheff., of Elizabeth, N. J., centre. Played three years at St. Paul's School, rowed two years at that school. Member of Yale Mott Haven Team for hammer and shot. Played on his freshman eleven, and centre on the 'varsity last year, Age 20, height 6 ft. 2 in., weight 208.

C. S. Morris '96, of New Haven, quarterback. Played on the Millhouse High School eleven. Substitute on last year's freshman eleven. Age 19, height 5 ft. 6 in., weight 140.

R. Armstrong '95 Sheff, of Hampton, Va., halfback. Played tackle one year at Andover, left tackle on last year's freshman eleven, rowed bow in the freshman boat. Age 20, height 5 ft. 8 1-2, weight 157.

B. S. Thorne '96, of New York City, halfback, prepared at Berkeley School. Played fullback on his freshman eleven. Age 21, height 6 ft. 1 in., weight 163.

T. Eaton '94, of Wakefield, Mass., substitute halfback, prepared at Andover. Runs the high hurdles on the Yale Mott Haven Team. Age 21, height 5 ft. 10 in., weight 153.

F. S. Butterworth '95, of Washington, D. C., fullback, prepared at Harrisburg, Pa. Played halfback on his freshman eleven, ran the half mile that year on the Mott Haven team. Played fullback last year. Age 22, height 5 ft. 11 in., weight 158.

Yale's four backs weigh 616; the average weight of the rush line is 185.
