The 'varsity eleven were lined up yesterday in regular practice for thirty minutes only, beside the usual preliminary work of going through the signals and formations. The playing was largely a kicking game for the benefit of the ends and tackles, as well as for the practice of punting and catching. Stevenson was substituted for Blanchard, and Fairchild for Beale a part of the time. The Backs were Waters, Wrightington and brewer. Gray is still laid up, but it is hoped will be in condition by Saturday. Today and tomorrow there will be hard work for the elevens. On Thursday it will be light and on Friday practically none at all.
