Fact and Rumor.

Sayer, who won the 440 yards race at the Mott Haven games last year, has not returned to college.

The tackles and ends met in Captain Water's room Thursday night and were instructed in tackling by Hallowell, who played end on last year's eleven.

'VARSITY MANDOLIN CLUB.- Rehearsal Tuesday Oct. 10, at 7, in 1 Weld. All men who played last year, and all candidates who received postals be present.

R. P. HOOD, Sec.READING AND SPEAKING.- Voluntary classes in Reading and Speaking will be held Monday, from 10 to 12, Tuesday and Friday, from 10 to 11, in Sever 11; and Thursday, from 3.30 to 4.30, in Sever 30. These classes are open to all members of the University.

The advanced sections will meet in Sever 30 Thursday, from 2.30 to 3.30; and Friday, from 2.30 to 4.30.

C. T. COPELAND.HISTORY 13.- Mr. Morgan will be in the basement of the library for consultation every afternoon except Saturday, from 2.30 to 4. On Saturdays his hours will be from 11 to 12 a. m. He will be found, moreover, at 18 Claverly Hall nearly every evening after 9 o'clock.

'94 ELEVEN.- The following men will be at the gymnasium dressed for play at 3.30: Garrison, Borden, Gardner, Brooks, Hoag, Earle, Harding, McDonald, Cary, Lee, Williams, Carter, Cutler, Short, Newman, Smith, Richardson.

BULLOCK, Sec.VOLUNTEER Courses in Vocal Training, Vocal Expression and Speaking will be given on Tuesdays and Thursdays, open to students of the College, the Law School or other departments of the University. Courses may be arranged for one, two or three hours a week, for the fall term or the entire year. Assistance will be given to individuals as in former years. Those desiring appointments for class or individual instruction are requested to call at Holden Chapel, as early as possible Tuesdays, 9 to 5, or Thursdays, 2.30 to 5.
