At the meeting of the Intercollegiate Football Association in New York last night the following amendments to rule 13, article 10, of the constitution were passed by a vote of three to one against U. of p.
First-No man will be eligible for a team who is not pursuing courses requiring an attendance on lectures and recitations of at least six hours perweek. If a graduate, he shall be pursuing courses for a degree requiring one year of study, If undergraduate and not studying for a degree, shall not play during first year.
Second-A man who has attended in any other college shall not be eligible for team unless he is a regular member of freshman class or has spent one year of resident study in the college and passed satisfactory examinations upon full year's work.
Third-No man shall be eligible for a team for more than four years.
Fourth-Two weeks previous to a game of the assocaiton the two captains shall submit a list of thirty players from which his team is to be chosen. In case of objection the captain shall submit protest within four days to the Advisory Committee and to the other captain. The Advisory Committee shall have power to decided upon eligibility of played and shall consider protest within 48 hours. Either captain may submit a further list of four men not later than five days before the game. Protests to any of these may be made in same manner, and the Advisory Committee shall give a decision not later than 48 hours before the game.
Fifth-Referee of any game at request of either captain shall debar any man not included in the list submitted or who has been declared ineligible by the Advisory Committee.
