St. Mark's, 6; Harvard '97, 0.

The freshmen eleven went to Southboro Saturday and were defeated by St. Mark's team. The freshmen played a much better game than usual. Although their opponents had an advantage in weight, ninety-seven in the first half kept the ball in their territory the greater part of the time and prevented them from scoring. In the second half, Benjamin secured the ball on a fumble and, aided by good interference, scored a touchdown. O'Connor played centre for the freshmen and strengthened that part of the line materially. Dean at quarter broke through the line several times and tackled strongly. Barton and Watson played their usual creditable game.
