An unusually large number of freshman crew candidates turned out last night, and if numbers count for anything '97 should have a winning crew. As will be seen there are men of all weights, but there is no lack of heavy men and quite a few candidates have had some experience before coming to college.

All candidates not playing football are to meet in the rowing room in the gymnasium at 3.30 today, ready for rowing. Men who cannot come at 3.30 must come at 4.30. All men must bring a schedule of their afternoon recitions.
