Football Conference.

Yesterday afternoon Captain Hinkey and Manager Holter of Yale met Captain Waters and Manager Lane of the 'varsity eleven to make arrangements for the Yale game. The conference was held in the Carey Building and lasted for three hours.

There was no dispute over the undergraduate rule. It was not in the rules of the Intercollegiate Football Association at the time the agreement was made between the two universities, and Captain Hinkey acknowledged that Harvard had a right to put any team in the field that conformed to the rules as they then stood.

The captains were also to choose a referee and an umpire. Yale proposed Coffin of Wesleyan for umpire, but his work was so severely criticised last year that Harvard objected. Mr. Moffat of Princeton, the referee of last year, was finally agreed upon as umpire, and Mr. Schoff of Pennsylvania as referee. The game as usual will be held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
