On Thursday night all candidates for the freshman nine will meet in the Trophy Room in the gymnasium. They will begin practice the next day, and for about a week Captain Frothingham will train them. During this time Keefe, the old New York player, will coach the pitchers, and the nine will practise in the cage in the Carey building.
Ten days after the Freshmen begin the new candidates for the 'varsity team will be called out and promising men chosen from them to train with last year's nine after the midyears. Captain Frothingham and Keefe will take charge of these new men and linally of the whole 'varsity squad, which will use the Carey cage while the Freshmen take the one in the gymnasium. All of last year's team are back again this year but it is not certain that they all will play.
