Last night Mr. Kimball and Mr. Briggs of the Boston Camera Club, awarded the prizes at the Harvard Camera Club exhibit.
The first prize was awarded to a four by five country scene taken by Prof. Sumichrast, a member of the Camera Club. The second prize was given to a small picture of a ruined temple, by Mr. Edward Cummings.
Of the second class of pictures; - those in which the photographer made the exposure only - the best picture was taken by Mr. Olmstead Jr., of the Harvard Camera Club. The judges gave him the prize for two wood scenes which they considered of equal merit.
Honorable mention was given to the following, without destinction for order of mention; Prof. Sumichrast, Messrs. E. Cummings, E. James. J. G. M. Glessner, S. A. Lord, F. E. Frothingham, and K. McKenzie. These pictures will be marked and placed together tomorrow afternoon and evening, the last day of the exhibit.
The Judges considered the exhibit of great merit, and noted especially the marked improvement over last year.
