The Harvard Co-operative Society closes this year the most successful financial period of its existence. Could the quarters be further enlarged several departments, the men's furnishing in particular, could be increased. The greatest gain in sales has been in the book department. The total sales to the end of last week have amounted to $89,694.21, while last year they were $67,398.34, the gain being $22,295.87. There will be a dividend next year after making the usual reservation between $4,000 and $4,500. Great credit is due to Mr. Lyford, the superintendent, for it is greatly owing to his efficient management that the society is in such good condition.
