As will be seen by the score, Princeton had no trouble in defeating Yale Saturday, 12 to 2. Yale played the weakest kind of a game, and Bowers was batted out of the box.
In the first inning, King scored on a couple of scratch hits and a wild throw. Young scored a moment later on a sacrifice, and Ramsdell lined out a home run. Not until the fourth did Princeton score again. In this inning, Gould's three-bagger, followed by a single by Brown, earned a run. Six more runs were scored in the sixth, on three singles, an error, a hit by a pitched ball, a three-bagger, and a two-bagger. In the eighth inning, McKenzie's single, Ramsdell's base on balls, and a couple of errors, yielded two more runs.
Yals's runs were scored, one in the first. on a base on balls, two steals, and a sacrifice, and one in the fifth, on a scratch hit and errors by Brown and Woodcock.
