Oberlin proposes to reproduce the Olympian games at its field days; javelin-hurling, giving Greek names to standard events, presenting of laurel crowns to victors, choosing robed heralds, are changes to be made.

The Yale University Boat Club has written a communication to the Yale News publicly thanking the Columbia Boat Club for its kindness in offering and sending Yale the launch "Carrie Goodwin," while the launch "Yale" was undrgoing repairs.

Preston Brown of Baltimore, Md., who graduates with the class of 1892 at Yale, has been appointed a second lieutenant in the the United States army and assigned to a battery of artillery now stationed at Fortress Monroe.
