Base Ball.

Harvard 11; Williams 0.

Harvard defeated Williams in an uninteresting and very one-sided game at Williamstown on Saturday. Only seven innings were played as the Harvard men had to leave early to catch the train.

Harvard played a good game throughout, both in the field and at the bat. Only one error was made and that was excusable. Highlands was very effective, striking out ten men and not giving Williams a hit. The Williams pitchers, Hollister and Roberts were both batted hard and were poorly supported, Harvard's base running was very good. Following is the score:

Yale 3; Princston I.Yale defeated Princeton on Saturday at Princeton in the second game of the season between the two colleges, by a score of 3 to 1. The game was a close and interesting one and was marked by Yale's excellent fielding. In the box, Bowers was on the whole more effective than Young, for although he gave a good many bases on balls, he struck out six men to Young's three, and allowed Princeton to make only three hits while Yale made seven.

The first run was made by Yale in the third inning and was followed by a run for Princeton in the last half of the same inning. The score then remained a tie until the seventh when Case reached first on a error, stole second and third, and came home on an error by Brown. In the eighth inning also Yale made one run, and this ended the scoring, although in the last half of the ninth, Princeton made a desperate effort to save the game.
