Lowell III, Harvard 55.

The eleven played in very hard luck on Saturday and was beaten for the first time by 56 runs. Garrett, who made 54 out against Lowell last year, was stupidly run out when he had made only 2; and Kaulbach and S. Skinner were both disabled. Garrett showed up in fine form, and bowled strongly and right on the wicket throughout the innings, taking 6 wickets for 44 runs, and losing one through bad fielding.

S. Skinner and Dinsmore were the only ones to accomplish much with the willow. The former played a careful 16, and the latter made a rattling good 15, consisting of two fours, three twos, and a single.

For Lowell, Fairburn and Thorpe did pretty much all the work. Fairburn carried his bat for a fairly clean 36, giving one chance at 29, and took 3 wickets for 8 runs. Thorpe took 2 wickets for 7 runs, and made 19. Harvard's score follows:
