We heartily endorse the action of the captains of the senior and junior nines in having the field roped off. The way in which both classes yesterday crowded down upon the base lines and seriously interfered with the game was simply absurd. The bounds of gentlemanly, legitimate behavior were widely overstepped, and the co-operation of the crowd instead of limiting itself to respectable encouragement and friendly guying, became an effort to win the game at any cost.
