There is every indication that the Open Meeting of the Harvard Athletic Association on May 7 will be a tremendous success. Up to 10 o'clock last evening over 110 entries had been received, many of them from prominent athletes. G. C. Taylor, who holds the world's record for the two-mile bicycle race, has entered, and it is probable that E. C. Moen, J. P. Lee, W. Dohrn, the great middle distance man, Downs and other noted athletes will contest.
As yet no B. A. A, entries have been received, but these will come in today, and any members of the H. A. A. who have inadvertently omitted to enter their names can do so today at the gymnasium between 11 and 1. After 1 o'clock no more entries will be received. The full list of entries will be published in the CRIMSON tomorrow morning. It is encouraging to note all these signs of success for the first open meeting which the H. A. A. holds - for everything points to an open meeting which will surpass in interest any which has been held for some time in this part of New England.
