There are few of the men in college that were in Cambridge at this time last year who have forgotten the sad news that met them on their return to work, - the announcement of the death of Adelbert Shaw '94. Those who knew him will always remember that earnest, straightforward character which made him so much esteemed by all the college in the few months he was with us. To the younger classes who come here too late to know him, his name will be handed down as that of a man who, though difficulties stood in his path, fought his way to Harvard for the good it could give him, and who by his manly character won for himself a lasting place in the hearts of the University.
