The third annual meeting of the Interscholastic Association under the auspices of the B. A. A. Saturday afternoon was a success in every particular. The attendance was unusually large and the enthusiasm manifested in the several events was boundless. Five new Interscholastic records were made: the 300 yards run, 250 yards hurdle, lowered by one-fifth of a second, 10-pound shot, lowered by 2ft. 4 1-2 in., running high kick, lowered by 7 1-4 in. The best record-breaking performance of the afternoon was made by W. J. Batch-elder, B. A. A. Jr., who lowered the record of 2 m. 32 2-5 sec. for the 1000 yards by three seconds.
Hopkinson School came out victorious, scoring 23 points and thus won the silver shield for the ensuing year. Roxbury Latin was second with 19 points, and Brookline High came third with 10 points. The most interesting race of the day was the mile team race between Hopkinson and Roxbury Latin.
