The New York legislature has appropriated $10,000 for University extension in that State.

George W. Woodruff Yale '89, has been engaged as coach in rowing and foot ball by the University of Pennsylvania.

The profits of the recent foot ball season at the University of Pennsylvania amounted to $3,500.

Professor Packard of Brown has been elected a member of the Imperial Society of Natural History and Anthropology at Moscow.

There is but one Princeton graduate in the Yale Law School. He has the distinction of being the first Princeton man to enter the school in twenty years.

One of the speakers to represent Yale at the next Harvard-Yale debate will be chosen as a competitive, where the question will be the one decided upon for the intercollegiate debate.

There are 102 instructors at the Institute of Technology, one instructor for every ten students. If the lecturers are counted in as instructors, there is an average of one instructor to every eight students.

The Columbia Dramatic Club will present a series of plays in the Berkeley Lyceum during the week beginning February 8. Among these are a farce comedy - "Confusion" and Gilbert and Sullivan's "Trial by Jury."
