At the Vesper Services yesterday Rev. Leighton Parks spoke on the necessity of carrying our religion into all that we do. No one day, no one profession is any more sacred than another. What makes anything sacred is God's presence, and God ought to be present with us at all times. We ought to bear in mind that we are men come here to enlarge our lives. We ought to put away the "childish things" of life, and vulgarity, blasphemy, immorality, are childish things.
In our books, in our lecture rooms, in our athletics we should feel God's presence.
During the service the choir sang the following anthems: "Stars of the Morning," Smart; "Harken unto My Voice," Smart; "Come ye Children," from "Prodigal Son," by Sullivan; Mr. J. C. Bartlett, Soloist.
