The University of Michigan Daily states that the freshman class has voted to levy a tax of 50 cents per man to raise $100 for the support of the ball team. Referring to the action editorially it says. "We are pleased to notice that the freshmen are waked up and are taking hold of class affairs and rushing them with a vengeance. It is to be hoped that the enthusiasm will not die down, but will continue to grow as the athletic season approaches."
