THE West End Road has refused the petition of the students asking for an additional stop between Harvard Sq. and Plympton St. Another petition will be sent to the Board of Aldermen.

The Harvard Republican Club will hold its first public meeting in Sanders Theatre, Cambridge, Friday evening next, when Hon. F. T. Greenhalge will address the club on "The principles of the Republican Party." The Harvard Glee Club will sing and a number of Boston Republicans have been invited to sit on the platform. This will be the first of a series of meetings which are arranged to be held during the winter.

The final list of the candidates for the Cornell 'varsity crew is as follows: Witherbee '93, 164 pounds; Marston, '92, 190; Wagner '93, 195; Barr '93, 170; Kranz '94, 178; Hall '94, 180; Gilson '94, 156; Root '94, 174; Baker '95, 220; Kelley '93, 165; Weber '95, 190; Warren, 167; Dole '94, 152; Dunham '94, 164.

There is a freshman organization at Yale called "The Boys' Club." Its object is to provide an occupation for the boys who were accustomed to spend their evenings about the streets. A room is fitted up with books, papers, games, etc., to which the boys are invited. So successful has the new club been that it has been found necessary to move into more commodious quarters.
