The West End Company has refused to grant the petition presented to it to have the electric cars stop some where between Harvard Square and Plympton Street. This action can hardly be explained on any other ground than a desire to be unaccommodating on the part of the West End Company. The petition was largely signed, and it was reasonable and just. A second petition has been placed at Leavitt and Peirce's addressed to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of Cambridge who have power to compel the street railway company to regard the petition. Every man in college who is affected by the present inconvenient arrangement should sign this petition in order that it may go to the Board of Alderman in as strong a form as possible.
