At the regular fortnightly meeting of the faculty yesterday afternoon, the following resolution was passed: "Resolved, that the committee on entertainments be instructed to refuse application for leave to give public theatricals or musical performances by organizations composed mainly of sophomores or freshmen."
The faculty wish it clearly understood that this action is aimed at no particular organization. In their opinion, freshmen organizations threaten to become too numerous, and public entertainments by them are too much sought after.
This action will prevent the sophomore theatricals, and all concerts by the fresh man musical clubs. A considerable revenue to the freshman crew will thus be cut off, and an opportunity of training men for the varisty clubs will be lost.
