Base ball practice at Princeton began last week. As yet none of last year's nine or substitutes have begun regular work, out many new men have handed in their names and are now practising daily in the cage. The work which the men will go through for some time to come will consist altogether in batting, and with this object in view the cage has been divided into four sections instead of two as heretofore.
The following is a list of new players who have handed in their names as candidates: Lindsay, Young, Cherry, Creigh, Nealy, '94; Snyder, Gould, Blair, F. R. Thompson, Foster, W. D. Ward, '95; Ward, Potter, Small, Turner, Wilson, Haniman, Elliott, W. P. Thompson, Titus, '96.
