The number of candidates for the Freshman eleven has diminished very much the last week or two, very probably due to the erroneous impression that because a few men have been taken to the training table the eleven is practically made up. On the contrary this is far from being the fact and the falling off in the number of candidates is discouraging for the outlooks of the eleven. That a few men have gone to the training table by no means indicates that the make up of the eleven is decided upon or that there is not still a good chance for any candidates. Indeed there is just as much need of candidates as before and no man should give up trying. If the number does not increase it will be very discouraging to the management and we urge every man who can play football to come out for practice.
