Newton High School won the Junior Interscholastic League by defeating Roxbury Latin School 8 to 4. In this game Newton used Mr. Deland's flying wedge very successfully.

Robinson '94 has broken the record in the strength test at Tufts College with a total strength of 2420 pounds which is equal to about 1100 according to Dr. Sargent's system.
