The candidates for the 'varsity crew are now working daily in the gymnasium. They have just begun to use oars and are rowing on the weights, to learn the body swing. They also take a short run of about two miles every day. Few of those trying have had any previous experience at rowing, though Ninde, Stackpole, Goodwin and Kaven tried for their class crews.
The old men do not begin work till after the holidays.
