The heartiest words of commendation are to be given Ninety-six for the admirable answer last night to Captain Vail's call. The class has shown itself thoroughly interested in the crew and if this good beginning is kept up the prospects for next spring will be very promising. It is safe to say that no freshman class has yet turned out ninety-six men and Ninety-six is to be congratulated upon its zeal. Nevertheless it must not be forgotten that numbers alone do not win a class race. Hard work on the part of the candidates and the earnest support of the class are important factors.
