A meeting of the freshman crew was held in the trophy room last night. D. F. Jones gave the candidates some advice urging the men to do their best work and announced the appointment of Walter M. Briggs as temporary captain. The candidates hereafter will have to state what time they go to bed every night. The men will soon be cut down to two crews, though the present arrangement of the crews will have no significance. The first crew is now rowing as follows: Stroke, Capen; 7, Briggs; 6, Cook; 5, Stackpole; 4, Goodwin; 3, Purdon; 2, Davis; bow, Cameron. Second crew: Stroke, Irving; 7, Klim; 5, Whitren; 5, Ames; 4, Murchie; 3, Lambert; 2, Schereschewsky; bow, Livingwood.
