The following men are training for the battery positions on the Amherst nine: Pitchers, Downey '92, Brown '92, Buswell '93, Smith '94, Colby '95; catchers, Allen '93, Gould '93.
A. C. Miller, Professor of Political Economy at Cornell, has resigned in order to accept a similar position at the university of Chicago. Professor Miller was formerly connected with Harvard.
