The work of the Harvard Young Men's Christian Association during the past year has been of the kind to be proud of. It has been practical and free from cant, of the nature which, in a University like Harvard, is bound to have the most telling effect. Not, however, in the college alone has the work been carried on; the members have been seeking outside for chances to carry out the purposes of the Association. That the society should succeed, when the members show such an earnestness in the phase of work which they represent, is not strange. And it is a matter of congratulation that Harvard has this set of men who have followed out so well the work that has been set before them.
